If a family member has colon cancer or cancer precursors, your risk is doubled!
Several cases of colorectal cancer, uterine cancer or stomach cancer within the family can indicate a particular hereditary form of colorectal cancer (HNPCC / Lynch syndrome or FAP).
Affected families should develop an individual plan with their doctors, which provides early detection and preventive screenings for all direct relatives starting at a young age.
